What's all this about?...
My work takes form from a multidisciplinary practice, with its theory coming from the field of Psychoanalysis, I am also interested in the role of the traditional Fairy Tale, the relationship of this regarding our own hearts and minds, and how society, in turn, is a mirror of this.
Working with Archetypal dynamics, and resulting personal and common mythologies, it is these areas or: ‘energies’, that are always in flux for us all that inspire my making and reading.
I aim to bring the Unconscious spaces I experience into a place, where met by the viewer, they can interpret the work under their own personal material.
My work does not give a permanent answer, but a gateway through which to interpret, individually, or on a more common unconscious level, the states of play in and around our lives. Those seen and unseen.

Past and present
I have lived, and studied for a time, overseas in South Africa where I was involved in night club design and advertising. Returning to Britain in my early twenties, after dipping my 'toe' in office jobs and cafe bar work I started to work towards taking on a university education. Studying a BA Honours degree in Fine Art at Winchester school of Art, I continued on to the MA course graduating in 2016.
